I went through the pictures on my camera, and realized that I didn’t quite finish Friday. We set up these lotus butterfly vases, and they were gorgeous.
This is the rice we had in our lotus butterfly vases. I love the brilliant and saturated colors.
Gina Wilde from Alchemy Yarns dyed it for us. Apparently dyeing rice is a new one for her; it was quite a trick to get it to dry properly. Gina is smart and talented and fun to hang out with. And she makes beautiful yarn, too. Thank you, Gina!
After set-up, there’s a frenzy known as Sample It. Vendors can sell special samples at this one hour event. And it goes fast! There was lots of fun stuff to look at.
Later on Friday evening, there’s a fashion show. Joel introduced the fashion show, wearing the cutest accessory ever. By the end of the evening, Baby O had his own fan club. He was the sidekick for Pico Accuardi Dyeworks booth; his mom Lorajean dyes as Knitted Wit.
Lantern Moon had one other item in the fashion show. It’s the Bali Weekender bag, shown on the left. I love this and want one for me, me, me.
There’s a little more of my take on the fashion show on my PDXKnitterati blog, if you want more.
OK, Saturday is the *next* post. Really!

I want that bag too! Great pictures Michele. Did you get anything at sample it?
