I thought it would be fun to take Baaaabs (the scissor holder) with me on my travels this summer, and let you know where she’s been. So cute, and she doesn’t take up much room.

But when I put her in my bag, I realized that she’s stuffed with heavy pellets to weigh her down so your scissors don’t run away, and I like to travel light! So her cousin the sheep tape measure is coming with me instead. Summer has finally arrived in the Pacific Northwet, so Sheepy (can you help me come up with a better name?) went on a girls’ weekend to Gig Harbor, Washington for 24 hours. See Mt. Rainier peeking over the hill at twilight?

She had a stellar lunch of halibut fish and chips at the Tides Tavern on the waterfront.

Where is your sheep going this summer? (Or winter, for those of you in the southern hemisphere.)

And to have a little fun, help me name my sheep! Leave a suggestion of a suitable name, and I’ll choose my favorite on July 20. Your prize? A sheep of your own (you can even choose the color) and her cousin Baaaabs, too. Play on!

I think her name should be mathilda

I think you should name her Inchy. She’s a measuring tape (Inch) and a sheep — wool is itchy. So, Inchy! :)

I think the name should be Baabi Woolington. :)

Since she is definitely a girl lamb, she should be named
    Mademoiselle La Measure

Just thought of a PERFECT name….
    “Wool-ed” Traveler”!

Ewe’s Fluffy (since Lantern Moon produces the thoroughbreds of knitting products, she should have a thoroughbred style name).

  14. Dee says:

    Ewee, pronounced Huey.

  15. First let me say that “Baabs” is the cutest darn name for your scissor holder. Love it. As for her pal the tape measure, well, how about,
    Ewe-nice (pronounced like Eunice).
