About

Lantern Moon is proud to offer beautiful and functional handcrafted products, providing continuity of training and employment for women and families. The natural materials that inspire our designs are combined with traditional handcrafting skills that have been passed down from generation to generation, and are indigenous to these regions. We are currently working with producing groups in Vietnam, Cambodia and Bali, Indonesia.

All of us, individually and as a Company, believe that it is our responsibility to make lives better economically, socially and environmentally in the world community. We put this practice with payment of fair wages, support and establishment of educational opportunities, and economically sustainable policies in the development of products. We believe that we can learn and share a great deal with communities in which we are involved.

We’ve been honored to have Michele Bernstein, Portland knit designer and teacher, contributing to our blog (check out her personal blog at http://pdxknitterati.com), and we look forward to other collaborations in the future.

We currently are most active on Facebook. If you want the latest news, you can Like Us there. You might also want to check out or join our Ravelry group too. We love to hear what you think of us and of our products, so don’t be shy!

  1. Hello.

We were so impressed with Lantern Moon at HGA Convergence in New Mexico.

    Great products and wonderful people.

  2. Congrats on the new blog. I’ve read you for some time at pdxkniterati.

Lantern Moon is amazing! I’m curious to become part of your company somehow. Any suggestions? Louisiana seems to be an untapped market. There are young working moms with style and talent here, like me :)

  4. Hi, I like the look of the Lantern Moon needles. I guess from reading the Blog, you are based in the US??? Can we get them in the UK?
I’m hoping to get to Vietnam and Cambodia next year! BUT… I have been knitting since the age of 6 (now 62).
